Research Funding
COG is primarily funded by NCI and also receives additional funding from other granting agencies and from philanthropic sources (thecogfoundation.org).
COG has been awarded a grant by NCI as a member of the NCI NCTN.
Two major NCI NCTN Grants provide core funding: the primary or NCTN Operations Center Grant supports research operations and funds personnel at member institutions conducting research, and the NCTN Statistics and Data Center Grant supports these essential research functions. Other key grants include the Pediatric Early Phase-Clinical Trial Network (PEP-CTN) Grant, supporting 21 COG institutions charged with early phase clinical trials, and the NCI’s Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) Grant.
